Privacy Policy
This is an interim privacy page for Shortlist Lab (shortlistlab.io), an editorial affiliate site. It describes current practices. It is not lawyer-final text. We will update it when those practices change.
Shortlist Lab publishes Amazon shortlists and may earn a commission from affiliate links to Amazon. This page explains what limited data the site can collect, how Check price clicks work, and how to email us. We do not sell personal profiles.
Who we are
Shortlist Lab (“we”, “us”) operates shortlistlab.io. We publish product shortlists, editorial notes, and related pages. We do not currently publish Shortlist Lab short videos. For privacy questions, email contact@shortlistlab.io.
Information we may collect
- Usage data. Pages viewed, referrers, approximate device and browser type, and timestamps from hosting logs needed to run the site.
- Contact data. Email address and message content if you write to us.
- Browser storage. The site may use ordinary cookies or local storage for essential hosting and preferences. We do not currently run a cookie banner or our own advertising cookies.
- Analytics (optional). When configured, we may load Google Analytics 4 to measure page views and outbound affiliate clicks (for example event
outbound_affiliate_click). Until a Measurement ID is set on the site, that script does not send data to Google. You can block analytics cookies in your browser. - Affiliate click data. Check price and similar buttons are affiliate links to Amazon. When you click out, Amazon or the affiliate network may receive a referral parameter so a commission can be attributed. We do not sell personal profiles.

Sharing
We may share limited data with service providers that host or operate the site (for example Cloudflare hosting). When Google Analytics 4 is enabled, Google receives standard analytics events under Google’s terms. Amazon and the affiliate network receive standard referral signals when you click an affiliate link to Amazon. We do not sell personal information.
Retention
We keep contact emails as long as needed to resolve your request, then delete them in the ordinary course of inbox cleanup. Server logs are kept only for a limited operational window. You may ask us to delete personal data we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
Your choices
- Email contact@shortlistlab.io to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you.
- Use your browser settings to block or clear cookies and site data.
- We do not currently maintain a separate GDPR or CCPA request portal. Email the same address and we will handle reasonable requests about personal data we actually hold.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We will update this page when practices change and revise the “Last updated” date above.
